I'm sick of politics. I'm disgusted by lies told by all sides of the aisle. I just want this latest election cycle to get over with so we can get back to talking about important stuff...

(Permission to forward.)
Attention quilters, crocheters, and knitters! :) My mom is working with someone from the James A. Haley VA Hospital in Tampa to gather quilts and afghans (up to 4'x6' for beds), lap robes (no fringe so it doesn't get caught in wheelchairs), and knitted/crocheted caps for patients. If you'd like to donate an item(s) please email me at tymberdalton@gmail.com for my mom's contact details. Let's support our troops!
Thanks!

What's your spooky story? (Glitches in the Matrix...)

Monday, January 23, 2012
I cannot claim this to be an original idea. I got it from Chuck Wendig's Terrible Minds blog, and he got it from a Reddit thread. But I really liked it (not to mention was spooked by some of the responses) and decided hmm, I have a pretty wide range of readers. I bet they have some interesting stories to tell.
Have you ever had something happen that made you pause, like a spooky deja vu moment, or a weird occurrence that made you stop and wonder if some temporal or spacial "glitch" had happened? Like maybe the "program" has a bug in it, and what you're living in isn't the reality? (Or even something spooky you can't explain.)
Note: If you're a fan of the Matrix movies, apparently this is a theme in them, although I only remember a little of the first one and it was years ago when I saw it.
I know personally, I've had a bunch of deja vu experiences, all very benign. That's not uncommon for me at all. So let's hear your stories, share them so we can all be spooked by them. :)

Macy Largo & Tessa Monroe books
at
5:07 PM
I still get comments from readers who don't realize I've been published under more than one pen name. *smile* I've been published mostly as Tymber Dalton, but I am also published as Lesli Richardson, Macy Largo, and Tessa Monroe.
As Macy Largo, I wrote "Dead Moon Rising" (contemporary, paranormal, mmf) and "Sunset Hearts" (contemporary, suspense, mmf) for the American Heroes collection for Siren-BookStrand.
As Tessa Monroe, I wrote "Sarasota Steam" (historical, cowboy, mmf) for the Lost series. If you enjoyed that one, you might enjoy "Hernando Heat" (historical, cowboy, mfm) which I wrote as Tymber Dalton.
My first book published by Siren was "Cross Country Chaos" (as Lesli Richardson). I do have more books planned for that group of characters, I just haven't had time to write them yet.
You can find all my Siren books linked through my Tymber Dalton page at:
http://www.bookstrand.com/tymber-dalton

What in the world...? Georgia Guidestones (American Stonehenge)

Source: Wikipedia |
One site they featured on an episode is the Georgia Guidestones, also known to some as the American Stonehenge. I'd never heard of this site, which opened in 1980.
You know, it's really sad how there are so many people out there who can't just enjoy the fact that there are still some mysteries out there. Some people are claiming the monument is a sign of the Anti-Christ and that it's pushing a New World Order. Some people have actually defaced the monument. Regardless of what your feelings are on its origin or meaning, I think it's cool, although odd, that something like this was erected in our country under such a curtain of mystery. I think it's neat that, hopefully, some time in the future people might look back at this monument like we look at Stonehenge or the Nazca Lines and try to decipher it.
It's nice to know there are still genuine, albeit benign, mysteries out there in the world. (And yes, I feel a story germinating in my brain. LOL)

Last week was a difficult week for me. Annie's funeral was on Thursday, then I got home from that to find out about the piracy of my books. (Yes, the person apologized for it, and yes, I do believe they're sorry and won't do it again.)
No, not a good day, for sure. I'm not really ready to talk about the funeral yet, although I do want to write a post about it sooner rather than later. Annie was a wonderful woman, and the funeral home was literally overflowing by several hundred people. I'm...still processing. And anyone who's followed me for a while knows that grief is an extremely difficult thing for me to process.
I feel like I'm losing my mind right now.
The fibro flare I'm in isn't helping either. And, oh joy, let's add insomnia to the list of symptoms. The past three nights, I haven't been able to get to sleep until after 3 a.m. and this is killing me. I don't mind the occasional intentional staying up late on the weekend, like for a play party or whatever, but this consistent insomnia is killing me. Yes, I am normally a night owl. However, I'm still waking up at my normal time. Sometimes I could get a couple more hours sleep, sometimes not, and this erratic sleep schedule is hell on a fibromyalgic.
On the other hand, at least I'm making good, steady progress on book four in my Triple Trouble series. (Working title: Triple Dog Dare.) The bridge book is turned in and my tentative release date from Siren is March 26th, so yay! :) I'm hoping to have book 4 turned in by the end of this month. I'm going to have four releases in the span of about seven weeks. Wow!!!
To celebrate this, I'm giving away an e-reader next month on my newsletter group, so make sure you sign up to stay posted on that.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TymberDalton_updates/
If you're a member of the list, you can also access the calendar where I'm listing release dates and other events:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TymberDalton_updates/cal
Also, I would greatly appreciate it if you'd sign and share the petition I created to get Goodreads to remove the ability to add e-book files to book listings to help prevent file piracy:
http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/goodreads/
And don't forget to visit my Facebook page and click the Like button. (I prefer, due to Facebook's restrictions on the number of friends, that you like my page rather than friend my profile. Plus, my profile will clog your feed with pictures and miscellaneous stuff, whereas I keep my page mostly focused on my writing and related information.) Yes, I know it says Lesli Richardson. Facebook won't let me change the name because I have over 100 followers. *sigh* But that is my official Tymber Dalton Facebook page.

Goodreads petition against piracy.

Did you know a Goodreads librarian can upload an e-book file to a book page? I found this out after discovering (thanks to a reader giving me a heads-up) that over a year ago, a Goodreads librarian had illegally uploaded several of my ebook files.
Not only did I not know this was possible, I've since found out from a lot of authors, and librarians on the Goodreads site, that they didn't even know this was possible!
I've started a petition to get Goodreads to disable the "add ebook" feature from their site. Basically, this feature helps promote piracy.

Please feel free to share this link, and thank you for signing!!

I'm not sad to see last year go. My grandfather died, and a good friend of mine found out she had terminal cancer. Since we lost her on New Year's Day, technically she died this year, but the last two months of last year truly sucked. Her funeral is tomorrow, and Hubby, Sir, and I are going.
It's going to be a very, very sad day, even though we've been mourning her, in essence, for weeks now since she never really recovered from her surgery. I sat with her in the mornings for the two weeks she was in Moffitt and went with her to her radiation treatments, it was the least I could do. It's hard to believe we're never going to hear her beautiful laugh again. She was truly a mentor to me when we got into the lifestyle, and it was through her and her husband that we met Sir.
On the other hand, we all know she wouldn't want us sitting around on our asses and moping. Life goes on, for the living. If I survive this damn fibro flare I'm in right now (thanks to stress and a cold weather snap) I'm going to have four books (as of right now) coming out with Siren in early 2012, including the long-awaited bridge book to the Triple Trouble series. "Fire and Ice" is tentatively slated for an April release, which leaves me now working on books 4-6 in the series.
May 2012 be a better year for all of us.

I'm pleased to announce that my latest book, "Contractual Obligation," is now available:
http://www.bookstrand.com/contractual-obligation
[Ménage Amour: Erotic Ménage a Trois Romance, M/M/F, with M/M, light BDSM, spanking, sex toys] Harper’s father has issued her an ultimatum—quit working herself to death and have fun, or he’ll oust her as CEO of their company. She thinks hiring Doug to be her assistant and play her boyfriend is the answer to all her problems, until she finds out about his secret.
Deep in debt from medical bills, Doug’s parents are losing their home. Going to work for Harper is the answer to Doug’s prayers. Yes, it means pretending to be Harper’s boyfriend. That’s a small price to pay. Unfortunately, it also means he has to say good-bye to Tate, his boyfriend and the man he loves.
Tate doesn’t hate Harper when he finds out why Doug went to work for her—and broke up with him. Can he gain Harper’s trust and convince her Doug had good intentions…and that Doug’s contractual obligation can easily become a two-hunk deal?
